SHIPPING AND ORDER PROCESSING

Shipping costs are based on the subtotal of your order and apply only to orders placed online. Shipping costs for orders placed over the phone or in our Northeast Harbor shop will be different.

We ship purchases via UPS. Please allow 6 - 8 business days from the date of confirmation of receipt of your order for delivery of in-stock items. In case the item is out of stock or if there is any other cause of delay we will notify you by e-mail, providing you with an estimated delivery time.

In order to avoid confusion, please note the following:

  • We DO NOT ship on Saturday or Sunday, and orders placed after 4:00 pm on Thursday will not be processed and shipped until the following Monday.
  • Hawaii, Alaska & International Shipments: We are pleased to ship internationally and the shipping charges are determined on an individual basis. Since shipping costs vary based on location, we request that before placing the order, call 207-276-3300 to receive an estimate shipping cost to confirm you do indeed want to proceed with the order. Once the item has been packaged and shipped, another transaction will be placed on your credit card with the exact amount of the shipping and an e-mail will be sent informing of you this along with the actual cost of shipping.
  • Any customs or duty charges are the responsibility of purchaser and/or recipient.

Express Shipping

If you need express shipping, please call 207-276-3300 to request a rush order. At this time, we will give you an estimated price for One Day Express and Two Day Express and ask if you would still like to proceed. The orders must also be placed before 11:00 am (EST) for next day shipping. Once the item has been packaged and shipped, another transaction will be placed on your credit card with the exact amount of the express shipping and an e-mail will be sent informing you of this transaction along with the actual cost of shipping.

Delivery Surcharges

Because rugs, lamps and other large items are bulky and heavy, our cost to ship them is higher than for other items. Therefore, these large items have a delivery surcharge; we will e-mail you informing you of this extra charge.

Returns/Exchanges

We hope you will love your selection. If for any reason you wish to send it back, there is a 10% restocking fee on merchandise returned for any reason other than defect or damage. We accept returns of unused items within 14 days of receipt of the package. No returns or exchanges will be considered after the 14-day period has lapsed. A gift can be returned for store credit or exchange only.

No Return on Personalized Merchandise

We do not accept returns on personalized merchandise, nor do we accept responsibility for errors in spelling or letter placement entered by the customer.

Restocking Fee

There is a 10% restocking fee on merchandise returned for any reason other than defect or damage. Clothing may be exchanged for size without a restocking fee.

Call for Return Authorization Number

You must call our toll free line at 1-800-673-3754 for a "Return Authorization Number" (RA#). Please write the number on the outside of the package you send back to us. Returns without an RA# will be refused.  Return the product to: 135 Main Street, Northeast Harbor, ME  04662 (or PO BOx 468 if using USPS). Remember to insure it for full value. The customer remains responsible for both outgoing and incoming shipping charges. Shipping and handling charges are non refundable. Shipping and handling charges will be applied to all exchange orders.

Return Merchandise in Kimball Shop Original Packaging

Merchandise must be returned in original condition and original packaging as shipped by www.kimballshop.com. Items returned in packaging other than original packaging will be refused.

2 Week Processing Time

Processing of your return and exchange request may take up to 2 weeks. Your credit card will be credited for the price of the merchandise and any taxes when we have received and processed your returned item. Please note that credit card companies vary on the time it takes for credit to appear on their customers' records. Please allow one to two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement.
