Welcome to the Kimball Shop & Boutique. We are a department store and women’s clothing boutique located in the village of Northeast Harbor, a vibrant summer community on the coast of Maine. A family-owned Northeast Harbor institution for over 100 years, we continue to provide a unique shopping experience to the local and summer community as well as visitors throughout the year.

Continuing a tradition started by her aunt, Nancy Kimball Ho has been the owner since 1973. Nancy continues to be a daily presence in the shop, managing a small team that handles every aspect of the business, from managing stock to gift wrapping, shipping and organizing events.

We are a department store, but many people consider a visit to our store an adventure. We have a diverse selection of merchandise, offering the finest home furnishings and accessories, gifts, designer clothing, kitchenware, glassware and tabletop items curated from places near and far. You can always be assured of exceptional quality. Enjoy the personalized, professional attention that we have been providing to our customers from around the world since 1935.

Who We Are

Nancy Kimball Ho
Nancy Kimball Ho started The Kimball Shop in 1973 in partnership with her brother, becoming the sole owner in 1994. She is a graduate of Bradford College and the University of North Carolina. Prior work experience includes an advertising background with J. Walter Thompson and student placement at Columbia University in New York City. She is currently on the Boards of The Seacoast Mission, Economic Development Corp. of Mt. Desert, and the N.E. Harbor Medical Center. Travel is an important component of Nancy’s life and a welcome antidote to Maine winters. Her other passions are gardening, kayaking and enjoying Island life with her extended family.
